The Board of Trustees at Walton Youth and Community Project play a vital role in supporting our continued work. Trustees are the final decision-makers, with oversight of all the charity’s decisions, but the board’s main job is usually to set direction and oversee what’s going on.

We are currently seeking to add more members to our Board of Trustees. Read the words below from our Trustee Mike about his experiences and to see if this role could be right for you:

Becoming a Trustee of Walton Youth Project, has given me the opportunity to be a part of the fantastic work which supports young people in raising their aspirations, families in overcome hardships, and residents being proud of their local community. I believe that anything is possible if we all work together, and great things can be achieved. Over the years I have been a Trustee of Walton Youth Project, I have supported our dedicated and hard-working staff team and volunteers who work on numerous projects helping young people and families of North Liverpool. As Trustees, we attend regular meetings to address Funding, Staffing, and Decision making issues. We oversee and manage plans for future provisions that will be available in our community. We continue to grow as a provider to ensure the best quality of services are offered. We continue to develop specialised opportunities and initiatives that are designed to help and support people to move forward in their lives. Personally I have gained a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I am a part of something special, of which Walton Youth Project has been over the years. I feel honoured being part of this great team. Walton Youth Project always strides to what we can provide in the future. We look forward to building new partnerships, and making new contacts with people / organisations that can support us in providing are services to those in need. We are therefore asking that if you feel that you can help in any way, either as a volunteer or in any other capacity that can contribute to our existing team, Please get in touch.
