Well-being Wednesday

“I’ve been coming to Youth Night for a couple of years now and my confidence has improved so much. The staff know when I need support and I feel like I can go to them about anything” – DP, Youth Night

“At Youth Night we get to chill, have fun, learn and get support. I come because its a fun environment, it helps me destress and all the staff in their always give off positive vibes” – JW, Youth Night

What is Youth Night?

Youth Night is a youth club for young people aged 11-18. This provides a safe space for young people from the local community to meet, build relationships, have fun and learn.

Each week different activities take place such as:
– Sports
– Games
– Arts and Crafts
– PS4
– Cookery

We of course run activities so that young people can have fun, but an important part of youth clubs is to support and develop the holistic development of young people. Therefore also run issue-based sessions on topics such as:
– Drugs and Alcohol
– Smoking
– Knife Crime
– Anti Social Behaviour
– Sexual Health
– Healthy Relationships

During the Easter, Christmas and Summer holidays young people have the opportunity to take part in a residential to Play Away in Skipton, Yorkshire. This is one of the highlights of taking part in Youth Nights. This allows young people to escape the pressures of home, build relationships and make amazing memories! To find out more click HERE!
