What has been happening at City Road?

On June 1st we began a phased return to normality in accordance with Government guidance. A number of our NEP students who are in the vulnerable and/or key worker category have been able to receive face to face provision from our staff team. The return to providing face to provision has been, and remains a slow process that is under constant review but has ensured we are able to offer good quality, socially distanced, holistic education to the young people we support. For students that are not attending in the centre, we are still running our sessions using Microsoft Teams so that all the young people on the programme are supported with their work. The current timetable has been reviewed and changes have been made that we believe improve will benefit the young people and staff – letters have been sent to parents/guardians.

Once NEP sessions have finished, our staff are also taking part in food deliveries. Thank you very much to Fair Share who have been donating food to us that we have then been able to distribute to a families that require support. If you know of anyone struggling within the local area, please do get in contact with us and we will be able to provide support and put you in touch with other charities within the local area who are also doing fantastic work.
