The start of February marked the beginning of Children’s Mental Health week- a full week of promoting positive mental health and encouraging all those we work with the speak out if they need support. As this is something we encourage in all of our projects, we were delighted to be able to get involved and promote this week across our work and social media.

To mark this week, and its theme of Express Yourself, we used the weeks sessions to ask our young people how they express themselves, and how we can be supportive of different ways of expressing ourselves. We had some great discussions about this within our junior youth night session and added all our ideas together

As well this week, we were promoting Time to Talk day on the 4th; this day promotes starting the conversations around mental health and reaching out for support. To promote this and our support, we delivered 25 time to talk packs- filled with sweets, a tea bag, and a leaflet explaining what support sessions we are still running. We also ran a talk session for all of our young people to join and check in with us- it was a great success!
