Space 4 Young PeopleSpace 4U ProjectS4YP has four main areas of focus-
Ø Creative Space to promote creative arts, drama music and dance. Ø Active Space to promote physical activity and structured sport sessions such as football, netball, basketball as well as aerobics and circuit training. Sporting competitions are popular and football teams compete mid week and at weekends. Ø Cyber Space promotes IT skills and study support. Provided by Alsop, project staff support these after school sessions. Ø Chill Out Space is a safe space where young people can come and socialise, receive support and engage with youth work staff. This project is at the centre of our partnership with Alsop High School. The Breakfast Club - is open five mornings a week to provide young people with a healthy start to their day at school. It offers young people a safe, warm and comfortable place to meet their friends and school staff. Its particularly used by those young people who travel some distance or whose parents leave the home early for work. The Lunch Clubs - open during Alsop school's lunch break, to provide young people an area to socialise, meet new people, build relationships with youth work staff and school staff, as well as serving a healthy menu.
